3DNow optimized drivers for 3dfx...any information/idea about this?

Hi,
does anyone know how the 3dnow optimized drivers
for 3dfx work? Is the backend still the glide dll?
would be a nice use for the wrapper, then,
what do you think???

(I am currently pondering upgrading my CPU, so
K6-2 would be an option for me, perhaps...)
